Teenage Mutant Turtles
The Teenage mutant turtles impacted the arts in the renaissance and still impact arts today. The four members are Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. They all have made many amazing sculptures or paintings and are still being studied today by students in art classes. Some of their paintings include the ceiling of sistenechapel and David set in gold.

Leonardo da Vinci was one of the teenage mutant turtles. He was born in Vinci Italy in 1452 and spent most of his childhood in Milan Italy. He had many jobs before he became a painter. He was a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist (a person who analyzes all the parts or elements of something with particular care), sculpture, architecture, Botanist, musician, and a writer. Some of his inventions are concepts of helicopter, and solar power He painted many famous paintings. Some of these include Mona Lisa, Adoration of the kings, and thevirginand child with saint Anne. He died in 1519 of natural causes. The most famous painting of his is the Mona Lisa (1503-1505). He was an amazing artist.

Donatello was also another member of the teenage mutant turtles. He was born in 1386 in Florence Italy. He was a very good sculpture. Some of his sculptures are David set in Bronze in Florence Italy in 1430.Other sculpture of his are Saint Mark, and The cantoria. The eminent art Patron commissioned Donatello to build it. This is one of the most famous sculptures of the renaissance time period. Then in 1466 he died of unknown causes.

Another member of the teenage mutant turtles was Michelangelo. He was born in a small village called Caprese. He was an amazing painter. He painted the Sistene Chapel ceiling (1508-1512). He was asked to paint it by the pope Julies 2. There are over 300 figures on the ceiling. Just recently they cleaned it up to bring it back to life. Then in 1564 he died. The Sistine chapel building is located in Vatican City, Rome. It is still standing there today.

The last member of the teenage mutant turtles is Raphael. He was born in Urbino Italy in 1483. He was an amazing painter and architect. Some of his paintings are Stanze (1508), Saint George and the dragon (1506), and Three Graces (1505). He had many amazing pieces. He didn’t just design little homes. He designed religious buildings and palaces also. They were amazing. Then In 1520 he died of mysterious causes. He was in the middle of his largest painting on canvas. He started it in 1517. He was an amazing artist.

All the teenage mutant turtles had amazing art pieces and those art pieces are still being shown today. The Mona Lisa can bee seen in the Louvre Museum in Paris France. The David in bronze can be seen in the Museo Nazionale in Bargello Florence. The Sistine Chapel ceiling can be seen in Vatican City Rome. And the Saint George and the Dragon can be seen in the national Gallery of art. All these are still being shown today because they are amazing art pieces. All these artist made fantastic artwork.
The teenage mutant turtles affected arts not just in arts in the renaissance but in today’s art. For example Michelangelo who painted the Sistine Chapel did an amazing 330 and over figure painting. This has made people look how amazing it is and use the same strategy. Another example is Leonardo da Vinci who painted the Mona Lisa. This brought a whole Knew style of painting. Since it is amazing people used the same strategies in their artwork. Leonardo also affected life today by making the first drawing of a helicopter. We use these now to transport troops and save lives. All these people did amazing things and were very influential.
